Addaction Visits Kicks

On Friday 21st April our popular Kicks sessions where visited by Young Addaction.

Young Addaction, support young people to understand the effects of their substance misuse and the harm it can cause to them and the people around them. You can rely on them for advice and information, and they can offer you a safe place to talk about things that are bothering you.

As well as one-to-one work, they offer a range of early intervention programmes in schools, youth clubs and other friendly settings, helping young people to reach their full potential. Their services are completely confidential and they will never share what you tell them without asking your permission first. That means you can tell them things without worrying about getting into trouble with your family, your school or other people.

Head of Sport lee Walsh explains ‘it’s good that we can use the power of football to promote much more important message to young people and hopefully they learned something from speaking to the Addaction team’.
