BTEC Sport Course for Girls

BTEC Sport Course for Girls

Accrington Stanley are proud to now offer their BTEC in Sport to girls aged 16 to 18 starting from September 2017. It’s an opportunity for those girls that have a keen interest in sport to gain a better understanding of the practicalities involved.

The interest in girls sport has increased dramatically over the last few years. Here at the Trust we have seen the participant numbers in our girl’s session follow this. With this, we wanted to give girls the opportunity to gain an insight into the sports industry.

The course offers a BTEC Extended Diploma in sport which is equivalent to three A levels as well as work experience within the Club and the chance to present Accrington Stanley and gain valuable work experience.

The BTEC Level 3 in Sport is a 2 year course which involves education, work experience, practical training and matches. The course follows the same structure as a college meaning students will find themselves in Monday-Friday within the hours of 9am-4pm term time only.
