Accrington Stanley Community Trust have teamed up with the Neighbourhood Policing Team to deliver free football sessions this summer across 4 areas of Hyndburn.
The free sessions start on Monday 6th August and will continue until Thursday 30th August 2018. Coaches from Accrington Stanley Community Trust will deliver 16x two hour sessions for boys and girls aged 8-15.
Session Details (starting week commencing Monday 6th August for 4 weeks);
Higham Playing Fields, Accrington – Mondays 1pm-3pm (4 weeks throughout August).
Foxhill Playing Fields, Oswaldtwistle – Tuesdays 1pm-3pm (4 weeks throughout August).
Bolton Avenue Playing Fields, Huncoat – Wednesdays 1pm-3pm (4 weeks throughout August).
Wilson Playing Fields, Clayton-le-moors – Thursdays 1pm-3pm (4 weeks throughout August).
Speaking about the free sessions, Lee Walsh, Head of Sport at Accrington Stanley Community Trust said ‘’this is a really good programme for the community and will keep children active in the summer holidays. We are putting the sessions on free of charge and would like to encourage as many children as possible to attend the football sessions. I would like to thank Yvonne at the Neighbourhood Policing Team and LANPAC who have been instrumental in getting this project off the ground, along with Hyndburn Borough Council for providing the facilities’’.
