Record Year for Stanley Students

Record Year for Stanley Students

While Accrington Stanley are busy celebrating an incredible season on the pitch, Accrington Stanley Community Trust have also had success in the classroom.

With another successful year behind them, their popular BTEC Football Scholarship continues to go from strength to strength. 2018 has seen another year with a 100% pass rate with record number of students progressing into university places.

Head Coach Matt Parkinson expressed delight over the efforts of the students this year “Our students have shown great effort on and off the pitch this year, becoming great teammates as well as students too. We are looking forward to another positive year with our new intake of students in September”

The community Trust provides a unique environment for learning with lessons taking place at the Wham Stadium with BTEC Level 2 and 3 on offer. Alongside their education, students also undertake training with UEFA B qualified staff on the pitch playing against teams such as Manchester City, Blackpool, Preston and Carlisle.

Heading into September, the Trust is looking on track to have another record breaking year with more students than ever, and with the Sports Hub on the way too, they will continue to grow. Places are open to both Male and Female Year 11 Leavers who should get in touch as soon as possible.
