Accrington Stanley first team players Billy Kee and Elliott Parish attended a girl’s football session at Accrington Academy. Both players took part in a question and answer session with the students followed them joining in with the session.

The students were delighted to be able to ask questions to two professional footballers in order to increasing their knowledge of the professional game.

Stanley’s Elliott Parish commented ‘ Its great to see so many girls enjoying taking part in football. We were asked lots of great questions from the girls enabling us to pass on our advice and experience about the game. ‘

Elle Kayley, Female  Football Development Officer said, ‘ Its great to see the players getting involved in our sessions and sharing their experiences with the girls. It gives them an insight into what it takes to become an professional footballer.’

Starting this September Accrington Stanley are opening their BTEC in Sport to girls aged 16-18.
