Accrington Stanley Girls & Ladies FC Appoint New Head Coaches

Accrington Stanley Girls & Ladies FC are pleased to announce the arrival of two new coaches. Bryn Tracey and Dean Porter who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to an ambitious club and will manage the Ladies first team and U18’s girls team.

Accrington Stanley Girls & Ladies FC has continued to work within the community to develop girls and ladies’ football, creating and developing opportunities for all to be part of a club from 5 years old to adult. With access to first class facilities and resources at the newly built Stanley Sports Hub, the club has a very exciting future.

Bryn and Dean have been welcomed on board by Chief Executive at the Trust, Martin Fearon, who said:

‘’We’re delighted to recruit two highly rated coaches for the new U18’s and Adult Ladies team at Accrington Stanley Girls & Ladies FC. Both teams will play competitively in separate leagues on a Saturday and Sunday respectively. We also have a growing junior section and we want to expand the club setup over the coming years with the Stanley Sports Hub providing a base for the girls and ladies to develop and enjoy playing football’’.

The club is looking forward to working with Bryn and Dean, as we look ahead to next season. Bryn is keen to get started and added:

‘‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity as head coach of both the women’s and the u18s youth squad. Both teams are full of top-quality players and the idea moving forward is to gain promotion into the North West Women’s Regional Football League at the first attempt. Whilst this obviously brings a lot of pressure it’s also something that myself and the players are really excited to be a part of.

Myself and my assistant Dean will also head up the u18s youth squad section which will give young players first team opportunities when they are ready. To have such a talented youth squad to feed directly into the first team means that there is competition for places but also a sustainability for women’s football at Accrington Stanley Girls & Ladies FC’’.

Further announcements will be made in due course as we begin pre-season training for the new season ahead.
