With 1 in 4 adults in the UK being affected by high blood pressure it is one of the most common conditions adults suffer with. If left untreated it can cause symptoms such as severe headaches, dizziness, and shortness of breath and feeling of pulsations in the neck or head.
What is Blood Pressure?
It is the pressure of blood in your arteries that carry your blood around the body. To do this they require a certain level of pressure to get it to move around. It is normal for this pressure to differ throughout the day depending on your activity.
If you have high blood pressure consistently means that your heart is having to work harder to pump the blood around the body. If ignored it can lead to diseases such as heart attaches or strokes.
