We are excited to announce that our popular Football Development Centre (FDC) and our Stanley Kickers will continue throughout the summer holidays for the first time ever!
If your child hasn’t tried them yet this is the perfect opportunity for them to do so!
“Continuing to run both the FDC and Stanley Kickers allows current participants to carry on practicing the skills that they are learning as well as giving those that want to attend the chance who couldn’t due to other commitments during term time”, commented Lee Walsh, Head of Sport.
FDC is a weekly coaching session for children aged 4-10 year olds who love to play football regularly. We encourage any child that likes football to give it a try, it is open to everyone from those that have never played to those that play in a grassroots team. The sessions are a fun way to learn new skills and help develop your child into a better player; sessions cover a range of footballing topics followed by small sided games.
Meanwhile, Stanley Kickers is for those that are aged 2-4 years olds who are taking their first steps into football getting them used to the feel of the ball at their feet. As well as this, the sessions help improve their body awareness, mobility as well as their fitness. All children work with a ball of their own allowing them to improve their balance and coordination which in turn gives them the ability to build the self-confidence and self-esteem.
Both courses will run at St Christopher’s High School on their allotted day
FDC – Mondays 5.30pm – 6:30pm: 4-6year olds / 6.30pm-7:30pm: 7-10 year olds
Stanley Kickers – 9.30am – 10.30am – 2 to 4 year olds.
