Our Summer NCS group have been raising money to help local charity, Elysium.
The group of 25 teenagers aged 16/17 organised a bucket collection before and during Stanley’s home game with Northampton Town. They managed to raise £162.96 which was greatly received by the charity.
Elysium Community Centre based in Great Harwood, is dedicated to building upon strengths and vision of community members to improve the quality of life in the local community. By Working with residents, community groups, agencies, local businesses and stakeholders, they will create a safe and healthy community.
Elysium hosts an exciting, interactive timetable of activities; courses, events and sessions so there is something for everyone! The money raised is mainly used to help people with dementia and children and adults with disabilities.
The young people did the fundraising as part of the National Citizen Service ran by the trust 3 times a year. The next project takes place during the October half term.
