We are delighted to announce we are launching another Premier League Kicks session at Mercer Park, Clayton-le-Moors to run weekly. The session will run every Tuesday 5pm to 6pm at Mercer Park’s MUGA and is open to young people aged between 11-18 and it’s completely FREE to attend!

Premier League Kicks gives young people access to free football sessions, sports sessions and workshops, providing them with opportunities, support and pathways to achieve their full potential. It sees club community staff working closely with young people and authorities in their local area, including police and Hyndburn Council to create stronger, safer and more inclusive communities.

Community Engagement Officer at Stanley Trust Elle Kayley explains “We have launched this new session to engage with the wider community and to offer more opportunities for young people in the local area to take part in sports in a safe and secure environment. The council has kindly let us use their facilities to help launch this session and hopefully it will encourage more young people to take part in sport and help further increase their confident”.

Accrington Stanley Community Trust has been running Premier League Kicks sessions for the past 4 years and has encouraged more than 400 participants to take part in positive activity. By launching more sessions in different areas of the community, we are hoping to further engage more participants and have a positive impact, providing them with opportunities and pathways they may not have been able to access previously.
