Peter Leatham Joins Board of Trustees

Accrington Stanley Community Trust are delighted to announce that Peter Leatham has joined the board of Trustees.

Born and bred in Bolton with a keen interest in sport, Peter represented Old Boltonians AFC in the LAL for over 25 years as well as being chairman of Eagley Tennis Club for a number of years.

Before taking early retirement at 55 on health grounds worked as a Key Account Director for a major European Building Products manufacturer as well as spending time with TNT and The Guardian in sales roles.

Now Chairman of the recently converted Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust and helping deliver a number of projects around the football club, to help benefit the fanbase.

Speaking about his appointment Peter said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of Trustees at such an exciting time for the Community Trust, especially following the opening of the superb sports hub facility.

I very much look forward to contributing to the excellent work of the Trust in recent times and delivering the Strategic benefits to the community of the borough.

I also aim to develop a strong working bond with our new Supporters Trust and realising the many opportunities that are open to us all.”

Martin Fearon, CEO of the Trust added:

‘’we are really pleased to have Peter join the board and he will create a direct link between ourselves and the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust. Peter has been instrumental in raising funds for various projects at Accrington Stanley Football Club, and we look forward to his expertise which will help drive us forward in the future’’.
