We are delighted to announce a new weekly PL Kicks session based at Mercer Park in Clayton-Le-Moors.
The new session will take place every Wednesday starting 13th October, 6pm-8pm on the floodlit MUGA area of the park and will be delivered by Accrington Stanley Community Trust staff. All children and young people aged 8-17 are welcome to attend. The sessions will be mainly football based but will also include different sports on occasions.
This session follows on from a successful summer of free sports sessions delivered by ourselves at this venue, Project lead Lee Walsh explains ‘we had a good number of young people attending over the summer so we are keen to keep these young people active and engaged, we also hope new young people will begin to attend and we can make this a sustainable session for the future, as part of the PL Kicks project young people will also have the opportunity to represent Accrington Stanley at upcoming tournaments and events’
Accrington Stanley Community Trust launched the Premier League Kicks programme in September 2016. The project provides weekly free football coaching sessions for 8-17 year olds.
