St Christopher’s represent Stanley in Utilita Girls Cup

EFL Utilita Girls Cup U13 competition kicks off once again in 2020 with the North West area finals matches being held at Leigh Sports Village on Thursday 9th January.

2019 saw St Christopher’s High School narrowly beat other local Hyndburn high schools to win the opportunity to represent Stanley in the next round. Nationally the competition sees over 6,000 girls taking part in competitive football. It is a fantastic opportunity for the girls to represent their local club on a large scale.

St Christopher’s will represent Accrington Stanley going up against the likes of Burnley, Manchester United , Wigan Athletic and Preston Northend.

The winners of this will go on to represent their club and the northwest for a chance to play at Wembley stadium.

‘This is a great opportunity for the girls to show case their talent on a larger scale whilst playing against fresh opposition. The girls are really excited to be representing Stanley and hopefully we can go away with lots of memories of the occasion, commented Elle Kayley , Community Engagement Officer.
