Stanley ‘Talk a Good Game’

Stanley ‘Talk a Good Game’

This term Accrington Stanley Community Trust are launching their newest project ‘Talk a Good Game’ which aims to encourage KS2 primary school children to think about their communication skills and give them chance to practice their talking and listening skills.

Being able to communicate effectively is an important skill and a skill that is often taken for granted.  The hour long workshops concentrate on the importance of communicating clearly through practical tasks and group work. The project encourages children to listen closely as well as speaking clearly. Activities include Human Bingo & Communication Match Attax and all the tasks involve a fun element.

The project is the newest addition to our successful Premier League Primary Stars Project and is available to all primary schools in Hyndburn Rossendale and The Ribble Valley

Head of Sport, Lee Walsh explains ‘It’s brilliant that we can use the Accrington Stanley brand and the power of football to teach children about communication and after a trial period the project has been very well received by children and teachers alike’.
