Summer fun had by all

Friday saw the end of our 6 weeks holiday courses at Accrington Academy. It was brilliant to see so many returning faces as well as many new faces.

Activity club were kept busy with drawing competitions which saw the creative side of the children come to life as well designing outfits for the members of staff! Slime was also on the agenda which had mixed results but a great time and a messy time was had by all making it. Throughout the weeks we had so many dens built we lost count! They ranged from one maned dens to dens that could fit the majority of the children in.Not letting soccer school have all the fun, they played many games inside the sports hall as well as outside, from active connect four , scarecrow tig, fishy fishy to stuck in the mud.

Meanwhile soccer school wore themselves out practicing their dribbling and passing skills as well as their penalty shootout skills against our staff and each other. They then put these skills to the test in small sided matches and one v one challenges. Through out the summer we saw improvements in those that attended regularly as well as lots of fun being had.

All the children that attended on the last Thursday session had the opportunity to meet three official Accrington Stanley first team players, Will Wood, Offrande Zanzala and Andy Scott who took part in a q and a session as well as joining in with our coach’s v kids game.
