Our walking football group enjoyed their annual Christmas party today. Mince pies, cakes, brews and even spring rolls were enjoyed by the group of over 50s!
Walking football is one of the newest sessions to be launched by the Community Trust and the group meet every Friday to take part. As the name suggests walking football is a chance to enjoy a kick around with friends but at a more leisurely pace!
Project lead Kris Domokos explains
‘the session is a great laugh and also a chance for the over 50’s to stay active and meet weekly with friends, we have a range of members from people who used to play to a high standard and those that just love to play football, after the football we have a brew and a chat, its a great session’.
The session returns on Friday 8th Jan 1:30pm-3pm and runs every week, the cost is only £4 a week.
