Football College Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team!
The post comprises of two key areas:
Practical– Leading, organising and delivering on all practical aspects of the Football Education Programme. A key area of the role will be to create and implement a successful, engaging training and games programme for all of our students, as well as being the lead coach for a squad on match days. Duties will also include keeping up to date with the relevant administration duties.
Recruitment– recruitment of students onto the programme is an essential element of the post. The post holder will create and implement an effective recruitment strategy to engage the target audience using a variety of methods. There is also an expectation for the post holder to deliver a range of further school and community activities. The role will include regular liaison with schools and grassroots football clubs across Hyndburn, Ribble Valley and Rossendale. This role also requires the holder to work under the jurisdiction of the Head of Education and Chief Executive as well as assisting other staff members of Accrington Stanley Football College in the day to day delivery of the study programmes.
There is also an expectation that the Lead Coach and Recruitment Officer will have a minimum of 1 year previous experience working with the 16-19 age category. The role also requires a dedication to work on weekends, evenings and ASFC match days should the charity require. There is a minimum requirement for the holder to have a full valid UK driving licence with business insurance as travelling across East Lancashire and other areas will be part of this role.
We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about mentoring and coaching within a football environment.

Casual Community Sports Coaches
Accrington Stanley Community Trust are always looking to recruit experienced, motivated and committed sports coaches who are passionate about delivering a range of sports sessions/programmes across the Hyndburn, Ribble Valley & Rossendale areas.
Applicants must be individuals who want to progress whilst also being flexible to work at different times and on various projects in themes such as participation, Inclusion, Education & Health throughout our expansive and continually expanding community scheme.
Previous experience of working within a football in the community setting and within the three district areas mentioned above would also be beneficial.
Candidates MUST have access to and be able to drive a car.
The candidates will be responsible for planning and leading sessions, keeping registers, ensuring welfare, and maintaining the high standards we set here at the Accrington Stanley Community Trust.
Candidates need to demonstrate:
- Experience & knowledge of community sports development
- Be able to deliver fun & exciting sessions in a safe environment
- A confident manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm
- Organisation
- Professionalism
The successful candidate (s) will have:
- Minimum Level 2 Qualification in a chosen sport
- FA Youth Module 1
- First Aid/ Safeguarding Certificate
- CRB/DBS Clearance
Desirable (s):
- FA Youth Module 2 and/or 3 (or working towards)
- UEFA B
- Level 1 and/or Level 2 coaching award in additional sports
