Accrington Stanley Community Trust are proud to announce that we have been named winners at the Hyndburn Business Awards 2026 for the Non for Profit, a fantastic recognition of the positive impact our organisation continues to make across Hyndburn and the surrounding communities.
The awards recognise the outstanding achievements, innovation and commitment of businesses and organisations that contribute to making Hyndburn a great place to live, work and visit. The awards ceremony took place last Thursday at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel, bringing together some of the most successful and inspirational organisations in the borough.
This is a real reflection of the dedication, passion and hard work of our staff, volunteers, partners, participants and supporters.
During the past year, the Trust has continued to deliver life-changing programmes across health and wellbeing, education, employability, inclusion and community cohesion. “We have been able to reach thousands of people of all ages using the power of sport and the Accrington Stanley badge to help improve lives and create opportunities right across the borough.
Martin Fearon, Chief Executive Officer of the Accrington Stanley Community Trust, said:
“We are incredibly proud to receive this award. It is a testament to the commitment of our staff, volunteers, trustees, and partners who work tirelessly every day to make a difference in our community. This recognition belongs to everyone who supports our mission and helps us deliver meaningful opportunities for local people.”
The Trust was in the running for an award at the 2025 Hyndburn Business Awards just a year before, underlining the organisation’s continued growth and influence within the local community.
The Trust is the charitable arm of Accrington Stanley Football Club and is dedicated to using sport to drive positive change. From supporting young people in schools and delivering employability programmes to improving health outcomes and tackling social isolation, our work continues to have an impact on individuals and families across programmes in Hyndburn every day.
We would like to thank the Hyndburn Business Awards for the organisers, judges, sponsors and everyone who continues to support our work. Most importantly, we thank the communities we serve, whose passion and participation inspire all that we do.
This award encourages us to continue the good work and build on our recent success as we continue to work towards building stronger, healthier and more connected communities across Hyndburn.
