Accrington Stanley Community Trust are excited to announce that, on Sunday the 28th of August, we will be hosting an Armed Forces Funday down at the Stanley Sports Hub!
Our Veterans Project has, so far, been hugely successful with more funding and support being received to ensure we can continue to provide sessions and events for all ex-military and serving personnel, completely free of charge! This Funday is no different and will look to provide 3 hours from 2-5PM, of unbridled entertainment, socialising and fun with a wide variety of different activities on offer.
The event will consist of live entertainment with a professional singer all booked in, a raffle with great prizes to be won, a social buffet hosting a varied assortment of great food in social and enjoyable environment and an inflatable penalty shootout to show off your footballing skills and earn a chance for bragging rights!
Lee Walsh, our Head of Sport and the Veterans Project Manager, said: “The Veterans Project is hugely important and it is a key initiative of ours to spearhead it forward, going ahead and being able to provide this Funday is a great contribution towards that. We are keen to continue providing as much as we can for Veterans in our community to give back to these truly brave and heroic people and thanks to the huge support we’ve received so far, including from Hyndburn Borough Council, we can do just that!”
The entirety of this event is hosted completely free of charge as part of our Veterans Project.
