St Christopher’s C of E High school, representing Accrington Stanley competed in the Football League Trusts Futsal Cup.

After winning the local competition held in November by Stanley Trust, seeing off 6 other local schools St Christopher’s went on to the the regional finals to face other winners. Held at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre.

Placed in a group with Bolton Wanderers & Blackburn Rovers the lads eased through in first place and undefeated. In the semi finals they faced Preston North End and took an early lead but eventually lost out 3-1, despite having plenty of chances to score more goals themselves! The tournament was eventually won by Preston North End who saw off Blackpool in the final.

A big well done to the boys from St Christopher’s for getting so far and thank you for representing Accrington Stanley so well!
