Community Trust Link Up With GAME Accrington

Accrington Stanley Community Trust are delighted to announce that we are going to be working in partnership with GAME Accrington to benefit our local community with some new activities.

This follows the very successful launch of FIFA 16 in September which saw Accrington Stanley first team players Matt Crooks and Piero Mingoia visit the Accrington store to play the console game against young fans.

The new partnership will see Accrington Stanley players launch other games at the store and give young people the opportunity to test their gaming skills against our professional footballers.

There will also be new activities planned which will see regular FIFA Tournaments run from Accrington Stanley Football Club coordinated by the GAME Accrington Staff. The Trust’s holiday courses will now see regular Xbox and PlayStation competitions for the participants.

Community Trust Manager, Martin Fearon said ‘We are always looking to build partnerships with local organisations and we are very happy to be linking in with GAME Accrington. The partnership will see more engagement from Accrington Stanley first team players in the community as well as regular new activities for fans to become involved in’.

GAME Accrington’s Darren Townsend adds “This partnership provides a fantastic opportunity for GAME, as the UK’s leading videogames retailer, to support the local community, combining the passion of both gaming and football.

With most of our staff being dedicated gamers, we recognise the responsibility we have to help make gaming a hobby that is accessible to everyone. We look forward to a range of exciting, upcoming events in-store to engage the local Accrington community.”
