Accrington Stanley Community Trust start our fifth year of the Football Education Scholarships in September 2016. We have a handful of places remaining for our new first year cohort.

Staying at School or going to college is not always the right choice for everyone, but you can still gain a first class education that will get you to university by choosing neither of those. If the idea of staying on at school or going to college is not for you, then why not consider studying your education here at Accrington Stanley and play football for the club?

The course is based at Accrington Stanley Football Club with training taking place at Hyndburn Leisure Centre.

WHAT IS THE COURSE?

  • Level 2 or 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport – Equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
  • Full time 2 year course based at Accrington Stanley Football Club.
  • 12 hours of education per week.
  • 8 hours of football per week including training and matches.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Available to males aged 16, 17 or 18 who have achieved their GCSE’s.
  • A minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent at C or above including maths and English for the Level 3 programme. Anything below this will see you do a 12 month level 2 programme prior to joining the level 3.
