On Thursday 11th May a group of young footballers from our Premier League Kicks sessions got the chance to represent Accrington Stanley at Wigan Athletic, playing on the pitch at the DW Stadium.

The team made up of 15/16 year olds who attend our Monday night Kicks session at Hyndburn leisure centre represented the club brilliantly at what was a fantastic opportunity to play and famous stadium. With 2 wins, 1 draw and one defeat they were also very competitive.

Accrington Stanley Community Trust launched our Premier League Kicks programme in September 2016.

The project provides weekly free football coaching sessions for 11-19 year olds. These sessions give local youngsters an opportunity to train with professional coaches, get fitter and be healthier and learn and develop new skills. The weekly sessions in Accrington will take place as follows;

Mondays and Fridays (term time only)

Venue; Hyndburn Leisure Centre (3G pitch), Henry Street, Accrington

6pm – 7pm 11-19 year olds
