NCS Students in Social Action Project

NCS Students in Social Action Project

Our latest group of NCS graduates are just preparing to embark on their social action project teaming up with Hyndburn Homes where the group will come together to renovate the Communal Garden at Merlin Court in Oswaldtwistle this Saturday.

This is another step on the participant’s journey to completing and graduating from the NCS spring programme which they are scheduled to do 2nd May during the Accrington Stanley game vs Mansfield Town.

Lee Walsh the National Citizenship Service Officer for Accrington Stanley Community Trust said “It has been great to see so many people graduate and make a difference in their community over the past two years, and we are looking forward to the future seeing more and more young people get involved in the NCS project

We are now recruiting for our Summer NCS project, this involves an outdoor pursuit’s trip and then the chance to make a difference to the area where you live with your own social action project. The project runs out of term time so it is available to all young people aged 16 or 17 who want to participate and make a difference in themselves and in their community.
