We are delighted to announce that our Education partner, League Football Education (LFE), have retained their ‘outstanding’ grade after an Ofsted visit in February. We deliver a full time college programme here at Accrington Stanley Community Trust and as part of the wider organisation it is fantastic to achieve this accolade. Our highly knowledgeable and experienced staffing team work extremely hard to provide young people of Hyndburn and surrounding area’s an outstanding education at our multi million pound Sports Hub facility.
In the report published last week, LFE was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, with inspectors stating that learners “consistently demonstrate extremely positive attitudes towards their learning,” adding “they are highly enthusiastic and motivated to achieve” in what was described as a “calm and focused environment for learning.”
Our tutors also received excellent individual feedback from their lesson observations:
“Learners also demonstrated resilience through group and independent problem-solving. The use of local examples was built into all answers and demonstrated the relatability and vocational context of the subject being studied. Learners demonstrated excellent subject knowledge.”
“The classroom provided a highly effective and inspiring teaching facility. The walls are adorned with images connected to the football club and links to LFE. Informative posters are displayed all around the room which provides a reference point for learners.”
