Accrington Stanley Community Trust is the official charity of Accrington Stanley Football Club, dedicated to improving lives across Hyndburn. Since becoming a registered charity in 2010, we’ve grown significantly and now deliver over 30 programmes annually, engaging more than 16,000 people in areas such as sport participation, education, health & wellbeing, and community engagement.

We are proud to work from our £4 million state-of-the-art Stanley Sports Hub – a professional and inspiring environment featuring elite training facilities, modern classrooms, a gym, and more.

The Role

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Sports Tutor to support the delivery of our Further Education programmes. This role is ideal for someone with a degree in sport or physical education, a Level 5+ teaching qualification, and a passion for working with young people aged 16-19.

Whether you’re an experienced tutor or a newly qualified teacher ready for your first step into education, we’d love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and assessing engaging lessons in sport-based qualifications.

  • Supporting the academic and personal development of students.

  • Playing a key role in curriculum planning and student recruitment.

  • Inspiring young people to achieve their potential both in and out of the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

  • A degree in sport or PE

  • A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5 or above)

  • A full UK driving licence with business insurance

  • A passion for education, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate young people

Knowledge of NCFE and BTEC qualifications and experience in a FE setting are desirable but not essential.
